Western Eye Center is established to provide high quality eye service in particular to the expat community of Shanghai and mainland China. The Center is headed by Professor Lau MB, MSc (Ophth), MD (Bristol), Postdoc (Harvard), FRCS (Edin), CFAHST (RCOphth), CCT (UK), Certs (ICO) whom is a very experienced and well-trained Ophthalmology specialist from prestigious centers of UK and USA. Professor Lau was Consultant Ophthalmologist and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in London as well as a speaker of World Ophthalmology Congress. Before joining Western Eye Center, Professor Lau was the founding Director and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon of ParkwayHealth. In addition, Western Eye Center is supported by experienced Optometrist, Pharmacist, Nurses, Paramedic and Receptionists. Western Eye Center is an excellent center for Shanghai and mainland China eye patients. The center has the expertise and takes all referral and provides comprehensive eye service covering and managing all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of structural and/or functional eye conditions and diseases (Refraction, Glasses and Contact lenses dispensing, Cornea and External Eye diseases, Strabismus (crossed eyes) and Amblyopia (lazy eyes), Cataract, Uveitis, Vitreoretinal diseases (including retinal break, retinal detachment, vascular retinopathies including diabetic and hypertenisve), Orbit, Eyelid and Adnexa, Eye cancer, and Neuro-Ophthalmological disorders through consultation, evaluation and management via advice, medication or surgery.
